About Our Service
Floan provides a booking facilitation service for flights and related travel products, allowing customers to spread the cost of travel using finance options.
We introduce customers to Snap Finance Ltd (“Snap”) for regulated credit agreements.
Floan does not fund or issue any credit directly.
We act as an intermediary and are remunerated by Snap for successful introductions.
We do not offer advice or recommendations — you will be provided with sufficient information to make an informed choice about whether the finance option is right for you.
We encourage you to ask questions about any aspect you do not understand and to seek independent financial advice if necessary.
If we are not satisfied that you understand the terms of the finance agreement, we will not proceed with the introduction.
We also recognise your right to shop around for credit from other providers.
What We Will Do
Floan will:
- Explain the key features of any credit agreement introduced to you.
- Take reasonable steps to ensure the product is not unsuitable for your needs.
- Allow you sufficient time to read and consider the terms of any finance agreement before entering into it.
- Obtain your consent before referring you to a third party lender.
- Explain your cancellation rights where applicable.
Our Relationship with Lenders
We are not linked to any lender.
We only introduce customers to Snap Finance Ltd for regulated credit products.
Quotations
All finance figures and repayment examples are provided by Snap Finance Ltd and may be subject to change or withdrawal before acceptance.
Our Remuneration
Floan does charge you a fee to arrange your credit. This is clearly displayed at the point of purchase of the flight.
The amount of the booking fee we receive varies depending on the price of the ticket(s) which are being purchased, but we will always act in your best interests.
You are entitled, at any time, to request information about any payment we receive as a result of arranging your finance.
Refund of Fees
There are no refunds applicable once the flights have been booked.
Conflicts of Interest
If, in exceptional circumstances, Floan or any of its directors has a material interest in the business you have asked us to arrange, we will inform you in writing and obtain your consent before proceeding.
A copy of our Conflicts of Interest Policy is available upon request.
Treating You Fairly
We are committed to the FCA’s “Treating Customers Fairly” (TCF) principles.
This means that we will always:
- Conduct business with due skill, care, and integrity.
- Never place our own interests above yours.
- Handle complaints sympathetically and independently.
- Be transparent about remuneration.
- Respect your confidentiality.
Your Responsibilities
To help us meet our obligations to you, you must:
- Read the documentation we provide and tell us if anything is unclear.
- Comply with the terms and conditions of any agreement arranged through us.
Data Protection and Confidentiality
Floan Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and complies with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
The information you provide is used solely to process your booking, assess eligibility, and introduce you to Snap Finance Ltd for finance.
Before or after entering into a finance agreement, Snap Finance may carry out a credit search with a credit reference agency.
If you are a company or partnership, enquiries may also be made about directors or partners.
All customer information is treated as private and confidential.
